A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY
Jawala Corporation and Pekat first started working together to solve Jawala’s problem of providing uninterrupted electricity supply to workers in its remote Industrial Tree Plantation in Sapulut Sabah. Jawala’s commitment to environmental sustainability limited its choice of power infrastructure to renewables only.
Together, our companies worked on developing “J8K”, a product specifically designed to provide solar power to remote, off-grid locations at a levelized cost more attractive and sustainable than using diesel generators.
The success of the product in the Tree Plantation resulted in external parties requesting our assistance in solving their own off-grid power infrastructure problems. This has started us on a mission to provide a cost-effective, reliable and sustainable power infrastructure to cater to the needs of ALL off-grid locations across Malaysia.
